Welcome back to Midnight in Karachi, a weekly podcast about writers, publishers, editors, illustrators, their books and the worlds they create, hosted by Mahvesh Murad.

This week comedian, novelist and memoirist Sami Shah is on the podcast, talking about his latest book Fire Boy. The pair also discuss publishing multiple books without an agent, Pakistani urban myths, diverse stories, worldbuilding when your story is set in a city you know well but is almost fantasy to the rest of the world, and exoticisation as the biggest crime.
