We know that vocabulary instruction is essential to helping students comprehend more complex texts, but it doesn’t have to be boring. In this episode, I share ways to get creative with vocabulary review. I share how you can include students in determining which vocabulary words are necessary for a unit or lesson.

Students don't always enjoy learning, but by introducing activities that blend fun and academics in purposeful ways, education can become an engaging experience. Encourage your students to take creative approaches with their vocabulary lessons – whether it's a game or some other activity! With the balance of entertainment and educational content around which these ideas revolve, you'll soon find even middle schoolers taking pleasure from being educated.

In this episode on vocabulary instruction, I share:

  • How you can have students help determine vocabulary words to study
  • Games you can play to review and reinforce vocabulary
  • Vocabulary skits or Tableaus to include movement in class
