He is also known for his original productions and remixes for performers such as Mauro Picotto, Sebastian Leger, Cristian Varela, Stefano Noferin to name a few. Take a listen to his latest “Invisible Limit”. “Invisible Limit”.is out now via Music Treasures and its available on all streaming platforms. Mladen's journey in the world of music began in 1999, when he and Sinisa Tamamović joined forces. Together, they put on events throughout the Western Balkans. Despite nearly a quarter century in the industry, Mladen remains as passionate about making music as ever and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Is playing a major role in the growth of the EDM scene; having created “Thumps Out Traxx” a label where he features and support upcoming artists. His mission is simple, he wishes to see the genre reach its full potential. In this limited run series, I will be exploring the pioneers that have shaped and influenced the EDM we have today. In this episode I will be featuring “New Order”. In the early 80’s Joy Division was formed with lead singer Ian Curtis, Bernard Sumner (vocals, guitars, synthesizers), Peter Hook (bass, backing vocals), and Stephen Morris (drums, electronic drums, synthesizers). The group disbanded after the untimely death of Ian. The remaining members formed a new group, called “New Order”. “New Order” was considered a rock band but they actually were a fusion of post-punk, new wave and electronic music. One of their breakthrough singles was “Blue Monday” which is regarded as one of the most influential songs in EDM. Take a listen to it here. “Blue Monday” was known for its electronic instruments being showcased such as the use of pulsating synth basslines, catchy melodies and programmed drum beats. The song also melded rock and electronic elements which helped influence not only EDM but alternative dance and synthpop. That’s it for this Vinyl’s from the past now, let's get back to the music.
