Trailing 1-0 with nobody on base and two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Royals scored five runs on six consecutive hits to bust the game wide open, and cruise to the 5-1 victory.

With two outs in the eighth, the Royals started mashing, batting around in the order, and sending the Marlins to another series loss, and now off to Philadelphia in the worst possible way.

Like Friday, it was Royals' sluggers Vinnie Pasqualino and Salvador Perez right in the middle of it, driving in the tying and go-ahead runs. With closer Tanner Scott unavailable, Huascar Brazoban got two easy outs to start the inning, and then the wheels came off. The Royals had scored five runs in their last four games combined, counting their four-run game in this series' opener on Monday.

The KC rally spoiled a brilliant effort from Valente Bellozo in his first career start. The twenty-four year old Mexican right-hander pitched five shutout innings, giving up just hits while striking outtwo and walking none.

Nick Fortes drove in the only run of the game for Miami, as the Marlins continue to struggle offensively.

The Marlins travel to Philadelphia to take on the first-place Phillies in a four-game series starting tomorrow night. Trevor Rogers will start for the Marlins, taking on the Phillies' Zack Wheeler. First pitch is at 6:10pm ET. The Marlins are a +240 underdogs. The Phillies are the -290 favorite at -290. The total is 7.5 runs, with the under coming in at -120, and even money on the under.
