SERIES OVERVIEW:
As Christians, we serve a benevolent God who freely gives good gifts. Part of being made in God’s image is having gifts and talents that help reflect His nature to the world. Whether someone has not followed Jesus or been a Christian for decades, we can all discover that we are gifted for more. Throughout this sermon series, we will journey through the life and letters of Paul to learn that everyone is a gift, and it takes all of us to recognize and use our gifts to build the Kingdom of God.
WEEK 1: Everyone Is a Gift
MAIN IDEA: Our view of God shapes how we see ourselves and others.
SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 2:1–10 NLT
What adjustments need to be made to the way you see and respond to the character of
God?
As people who are made in the Image of God, when we have a warped image of the
character of God, it begins to create in us a warped self-image. Can you name lies that
you believe about your identity based on a wrong view of God’s character? What about
lies that you believe about others?
Knowing that God has a plan and a purpose for each of our gifts, take time to discover
your unique gifts and how to steward them. (Take the EveryGift Inventory...)
