Maxime Spano is an astronomer, a doctor in Astrophysics and he’s passionate about bringing the wonders of the night sky down to Earth for everyone to enjoy. He managed a Swiss observatory, where he led countless stargazing sessions and events.

As the founder of AstroLeman, Maxime shares his love for the stars with audiences of all ages and backgrounds, from curious kids to CEOs.

With over 10 years of experience in science outreach, he’s your go-to guide for understanding everything happening up there in the cosmos. Whether it’s a supermoon, a meteor shower, or just the everyday magic of stargazing, Maxime makes the universe accessible for all!

Today he's telling us about the Tsuchinshan Atlas that has been visible in morning sky for a few days, but will now switch to the evening sky, making it most clearly visible shortly after sunset. Today (Friday 11 Oct) will likely be the best day to view the comet with the naked eye due to the clear weather. Maxime gives us practical tips and, for us novices, explains what a comet actually is.
