Welcome back to Liberation! In this episode, Autumn wanted to explore the complexities of what trauma is and create a resource that can help you learn more about yourself and hopefully bring you closer to yourself through curious and compassionate observation. She shares why she wanted to do this episode, the misconceptions people have about trauma and why it’s so hard to identify when you have it, what trauma actually is, the three main types of trauma, the emotional, psychological and physical symptoms of unprocessed trauma, how we respond to conflict, overwhelm and uncertainty as a result of these wounds (the 4 trauma responses), She also shares ways and examples of how ruptures could have been formed that you may have never previously considered, and much much more... including how to live beyond it WHILE still healing and unwinding yourself from these learned patterns, protection mechanisms and coping tendencies.
