Lawmakers are back on Capitol Hill, returning Tuesday after more than a month off for the election. They're focus: addressing key legislative priorities before the new Congress is seated next year. Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said they're ready to implement and deliver on the "America First" agenda. As for the Democrats, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said they'll have a conservation about how to work for the American people moving forward. The new Congress will likely approve President-elect Donald Trump's nominees for key administration positions. Trump named his former senior White House Adviser Stephen Miller as his deputy chief of staff, and former ICE Director Tom Homan as his “border czar.” He's also named South Dakota Gov.
