Day 6 Recap: UT's Luke Hobson claims BRONZE medal in Men's 200-meter freestyle

Another eventful day of the Summer Games, KRLD's Tristan Rines has your Day 6 recap for our Texas Olympians... A pair of Texas A&M swimmers competed in the Women's 100m backstroke, with Beryl Gast-al-dello representing France able to advance to the Finals today at 1:55, however fellow Aggie Aviv Berz-alev, representing Israel, was eliminated from contention during the semi-finals. Dallas' Teal Cohen and Team USA were unable to qualify for the Final A group in Women's Quadruple Sculls rowing, with the Final B group scheduled for competition tomorrow at 5:15 in the morning...Houston Boxer Joshua Edwards was sadly eliminated by Italy's Diego Lenzi via a points decision...Avery Skinner of Katy, Texas and UT Longhorn Chee-ah-kuh oh-BAH-goo and the US Women's Volleyball team fell in a tight match to China 3 to 2...Fellow Longhorn Luke Hobson however was able to claim a BRONZE medal in the Men's 200-meter freestyle...And Baylor-alum Brittany Greiner and the rest of the USA Women's basketball team dropped Japan 102 to 76.
