There are a lot of things to take into consideration when preparing your home for the market. I have three tips to help you sell your home at any time in any market.
First of all, make sure you have a staging consultation before you list your home. We provide complimentary staging consultations with a professional designer for our clients. She will come over and show you which items you can pack away or put in storage. After all, you are selling your home, not the beautiful things in your home. Clearing away personal items creates an emotional response for the buyer; when they set foot inside your home, they will be able to visualize themselves living there.
There is no need to completely gut and renovate your home before putting it on the market. Instead of tearing out the entire kitchen or bathroom, paint the cabinets and update the fixtures. Simple things like that will make your home look remodeled without actually remodeling it.
