The Coldest Girl in Coldtown book Discussion
Manage episode 362526873 series 3454832
This month Alex and Joe discuss Joe's first book pick, The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black. Alex lays into his hatred of the first sentence of the book, then we gush all over the rest of it. We attempt to answer questions such as "How are the vampires similar to other vampire stories?" and "What is the message Holly Black trying to give the reader?" among others. After our conclusions Joe asks for his thesis statement, "Why does this book belong with all the other famous and lasting works of the vampire genre?"
Our next book that we will be reading is Alex's pick, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.
We hope that you enjoyed listening and we will see you next month.
