Author Ruth Renert's new novel, "Crimson Clover," תלתן הארגמן, in Hebrew, tells the story of the personal journey of a Lebanese Orthodox Christian young woman who, because of a forbidden love, is forced to leave her home and goes to Israel where she lives as a novice in a convent in Jaffa. Set on the eve of the First Lebanon War, the messages in the book are universal, Renert told KAN reporter Naomi Segal, adding that in these days of the current conflict in Lebanon, its themes still ring true.
