Born into an intellectual family in Tehran, Shohreh's artistic journey began amidst Iran's vibrant pre-revolutionary arts scene, leading her to prominent roles in the burgeoning Iranian New Wave cinema. As Hollywood royalty, Shohreh’s nomination for an Academy Award for her role in "House of Sand and Fog" marked a historic moment, celebrating not just her exceptional talent but also heralding the presence of Middle-Eastern women in international cinema. With roles in "The Expanse," “Star Trek” and more, she continues to inspire and resonate with us, making her a pivotal figure in the discourse on representation and diversity.
