DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 150
This final verse of the Psalms is a universal call to praise, reminding us that all of creation was made to glorify God. Every living thing, from the smallest creature to humanity itself, is invited to lift its voice in worship. Praise is the natural response to recognizing God’s greatness, His love, and His provision in our lives.
The psalmist ends with a crescendo of worship, encouraging us to use every breath we have to honor the Creator. This verse reminds us that as long as we are alive, we have a purpose: to glorify God with our words, our actions, and our hearts. Praising Him is not only a privilege but a way to align our lives with the joy and peace found in His presence.
Take a moment tonight to offer God the gift of your breath in praise. Breathe out distractions and worries, and breathe in the fullness of His love. Let your life, in all its moments, be an expression of gratitude and worship to the One who gives you life.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for His majesty and for the breath of life He has given you. Rejoice in His greatness, His love, and His care for all creation. Celebrate the privilege of joining all living things in glorifying His name.
CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve taken the gift of life for granted or withheld your praise. Confess those moments and ask for a heart that continually seeks to honor Him.
THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the breath in your lungs and for the opportunity to use it to praise Him. Express gratitude for His faithfulness, His provision, and the joy of worshiping Him with your whole being.
SUPPLICATION: Father, let every breath I take be a reflection of Your glory. Teach me to live a life of praise, honoring You in all I do. Fill my heart with gratitude and my voice with songs of worship. Let my life be a witness of Your greatness to all the world.
PRAYER
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.”

Dear Lord, You are love, and everything You do and say bursts forth from that identity. I pray that the same would be true of me. I pray that my every intention, word, and action would spring forth from a place of love for You and others. Anchor me in Your love, so I may be steady and unmoving during crisis. Adorn me with love for others, so I can be a light to those around me. I know there is no amount of righteous deeds or biblical literacy that could ever replace Christ-centered love. I don’t want my actions to be empty, but filled with substance and effectiveness. Fill me with Your love, oh Lord. Guide me and teach me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏🏾
