Ari Ashe covers a variety of freight and transportation topics as a journalist with the Journal of Commerce. He joins us to discuss his background that took him from politics, to sports, to general assignment news, and onto his position as one of the foremost reporters in the industry. Ari provides insights into the motivation behind his journalism career, how he became adept at crunching the numbers in the intermodal and overall freight marketplace, and why talking to those on the ground is important as well. Our second straight guest who identifies as a Mets fan, Ari also takes us through his time as an intern and call screener at WFAN sports radio in New York before sharing some thoughts on the current state of the freight market.
See Ari's work at https://www.joc.com/ and follow him on Twitter @arijashe.
In the news, Rick and Kevin discuss a multilayered situation involving California ports and trucks https://blog.intekfreight-logistics.com/california-truck-port-labor-update.
And in our MercuryGate Minute, Traci tells us about DocMosis. Learn more about InTek's MercuryGate partnership at https://www.intekfreight-logistics.com/tms.
