Theranos
For those who don't know, Theranos was a billion dollar company with a mission to make blood testing accessible to all using...get this...only a few drops of blood from your finger tip. Sounds super cool and legit! WRONG! It was all a scam. Theranos never truly had a machine that worked, not even a little. (Okay...they supposedly could test a rare strain of herpes, but did they?) This went on for over a decade. Elizabeth Holmes could have been an incredible leader and role model for women and girls everywhere. Instead, she mislead investors, employees, and the worst part...patients...that she was changing the world.
It's a dumpster fire of medical fraud!
