The Arizona desert just became the hottest place to supply chips that power the future. Today, we're covering breaking news that brings an incredible billion-dollar advancement in chip development to none other than Arizona – per Reuters, "The U.S. Commerce Department said on Monday, April 8, it would award Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co's (TSMC) U.S. unit a $6.6 billion subsidy for advanced semiconductor production in Phoenix, Arizona and up to $5 billion in low-cost government loans." The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co investment in semiconductors in Phoenix AZ is expected to add 6,000 direct manufacturing jobs and 20,000 construction jobs to the area.
