Buxy’s Salty Dog and Dry Dock 28 of Ocean City presents the 97th Episode of the Hondo Handy’s Podcast. The podcast shares the journey of Doug “Buxy” Buxbaum. The Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) graduate with a degree in business, settled in Ocean City. The sports enthusiast, who worked in many sports establishments in Ocean City. Working as a cook, doorman, bar-back and finally bartender, Buxy learned the ins and outs of the restaurant world. Buxy started looking for a restaurant to call his own. When the original Salty Dog at 28th Street and Coastal Highway became available, Buxy made the plunge and opened the doors to the new Buxy’s Salty Dog in April of 1999. Three years ago he opened Dry Dock 28.
