For the last five years, Matt has devoted his career to spreading awareness about the threat waste has on our planet. A tireless advocate for waste management, he currently serves as the CEO and co-founder of Pela, an international sustainable company that makes “everyday products without everyday waste”. His lofty mission: keep 1 BILLION pounds of plastic from ever being made.
Prior to co-founding Pela, Matt worked at Demac Media for 10 years, an eCommerce products and services company, and decided it was time to use his skill set for something bigger. He has played a role in selling billions of dollars worth of goods online and felt there was a debt to pay, knowing there had to be a better way of making consumer goods that didn't do so much environmental damage.
