The Indians called him “The Scalp-Buying General." British Commander Henry Hamilton.

He was the terror of the American Frontier during the American Revolutionary War, hiring the native tribes to collect American scalps and drive out the American settlers in the Ohio River Valley and Kentucky of what was American wilderness in 1779.

One man stood against “The Scalp-Buyer,” the first of America’s Elite Operators, GEORGE ROGERS CLARK led his small company of American Rangers to attack the British holding Fort Vincennes (in what would become Indiana).

Though in the middle of winter in the most miserable of conditions, starving and outnumbered, Colonel Clark and his Rangers outmaneuvered and defeated the British at Fort Vincennes, effectively clearing the British out of what was the American frontier at the time and making these frontier regions safe for American families hoping to settle the West.

A true hero, yet a man few Americans know anything about, training his frontier soldiers to be the first American Rangers and Special Forces operators.
