Ahead of the UK General Election, we talked to Amelia Womack, deputy leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, about what the recent Green Wave tells us about where politics in the UK is going, why the Green New Deal is different than the other parties’ climate policies, and how the Greens will bring the system change needed through a Green New Deal. Amelia explains happiness is the new GDP. Also on this episode: framing of the Green New Deal, the Labour Party’s Green Industrial Revolution, economic growth, airport expansion, HS2 and, ecocide.
