If you’re thinking about buying in the spring, the buying process might take longer than you think. The process accounts not only touring homes, but finding the right property, going under contract, applying for a mortgage, and closing successfully.
Ideally, you should account for 120 days to buy a home. The first 30 to 45 days should be spent shopping around for the right house. Next, you need to allocate 45 to 60 days for the mortgage process. This includes inspection, appraisal, and due diligence with the appraiser. Additionally, expect to give 3-5 business days dedicated solely to TRID.


If you’re looking to move your family into a new home, start looking now! Start before the vacation season and before school is out. Additionally, there aren’t as many buyers out now compared to the peak of the springtime market. Give me a call or send me an email!
