What is the lifetime value of a client?
The most important thing I have learned in my 30-year career is how valuable our clients are. Most real estate agents think earning a commission from one house sale is the most they will make from that client.
However, that’s not true. People usually switch homes every five to seven years, and if you keep in contact with that client and build a relationship with them, there’s a good chance they will hire you again. If they were to refer you to a few friends or family members, those sales increase the value of the first client.
One client is more valuable than you might think.
Over a lifetime, a client can bring you five to 10 transactions, so never underestimate the true value of a client.
