Grieving is defined as one's personal response towards the loss of someone or something. There are types of grief and different ways to process these kinds of grief. What matters is that one is patient with themselves and does not give themselves any undue pressure of "what they should be feeling, by when". The ministry of presence can also be very helpful if one wonders how to comfort a person who is going through loss.
