Melanie Sykes is no stranger to the tragic implications of toxic tabloid narratives and the damaging celebrity culture in the UK. This week she joined Lynne for an incredibly candid and honest interview about her life and career as a TV presenter, and as a strong woman encountering sexism in the broadcasting and media industries.

Tired of the dishonest and double standards she has experienced in her profession, she discusses how she has reached a point in her life where she has said enough is enough and will no longer accept being silenced. She and Lynne discuss how she is taking back control of her own narrative and they both offer their own personal insights into what matters most in today’s changing world.

Having also launched a magazine called Frank, she now spends much of her time supporting other women from all walks of life and also working hard to shine a light on sustainable living and loving our planet.

Melanie is on Twitter @MsMelanieSykes, and you can follow her on Instagram @msmelaniesykes. Her magazine can be found at [](https://www.instagram.com/msmelaniesykes)thefrankmagazine.com/
