In the age of gadgets and technology, literally evrybody is living a life of social isolation. especially, toddlers and children are more prone to speech disorders like stammering, inability to express properly and autism which is on rise today. Speech therapy may be required for adults as well.The four key areas of communication are listening,speaking, reading and writing.Verbal and nonverbal communication are equally important for proper communication. Mrs Radhika M . is a trained in B.Ed. special education and is also a speech therapist. Here she talks about speech therapy and its special need for autistic, hearing impaired children. Articulation disorders , language disorders, voice disorders are areas of expertise along with autistic children.
