Cal Maxwell is a student at NC State University who has used his influence and experience to help start a basketball league for kids with special needs. The Spirit League is an adaptive basketball program that allows participants with special needs to play a team sport in a positive, self- esteem building environment.
Recently, The Spirit League garnered international attention while playing during the halftime of an NC State women's basketball game.
