Donald Trump is not going to get the benefit of the doubt during his second term that began on Monday, and that means that every mistake will be greeted with anger and animosity and he'll own every bit of it. He has no margin for error, and even his base is on edge wondering what the second term is going to do to them, personally. The only hope is that people learn from this, as Farron explains.
Just a few days after her husband launched his own crypto coin, Melania Trump got in on the action and created her own coin. The irony is that Melania's coin launch ended up erasing 40% of the value of her husband's coin, which caused him to immediately lose billions of dollars after initially gaining over $14 billion at launch. Irony aside, this is the biggest grift Trump has ever pulled, and both he and his wife did it days before the inauguration.
According to a new report from Politico, National Guard troops across the country are worried that they are going to get called upon by the new administration to act as the "deportation gestapo" as Trump has suggested that he will use them to help round up immigrants in the country. These soldiers understand that they are supposed to be the "Good Guys" in America, and being seen on camera dragging people into vans to be shipped out of the country isn't going to sit well with American citizens.
According to a new poll from the Associated Press, most Americans don't believe that Donald Trump is going to make their lives any better during his second term. This includes a majority of Americans who no longer have faith in him to bring down prices for consumers or protect healthcare. In other words, Trump hasn't even been president for a full day yet and people are already lowering their expectations. But that actually works to Trump's benefit
