In a distant kingdom, the wise storyteller Aesop was beloved for his fables, except by the jealous steward, who resented his popularity. To discredit Aesop, the steward falsely accused him of speaking ill of the king. The king, trusting Aesop, sought the truth. In response, Aesop shared a fable about a jealous dog seeking attention by causing trouble, teaching that jealousy stems from insecurity. The king recognized the steward’s envy and reminded him to celebrate others’ talents instead of being envious. The humbled steward apologized, and harmony was restored, with Aesop’s wisdom continuing to inspire the kingdom.
