Does your organization rely on prediction? If so, you are probably aware of how important it is to move away from prediction and instead endure chaos, absorb variation, and benefit from volatility. Professor Nassim Nicholas Taleb introduced in the 2012 book, ‘Antifragile’, the concept that makes organizations look at uncertainty and change as friends, not foes. This is inherently different from two concepts more often brought up in DevOps-related debates: resilience and robustness. Unfortunately, there are still many DevOps organizations not fully acknowledging the importance of this property of systems.
