About Thea Komen:
Thea is a multi-award-winning dancer and musician from Los Angeles, CA. Her Youtube channel, Thea Bellydance, has over 100 million views. Thea composes, records, and performs to her own original music. She teaches online through Patreon and privately in the Los Angeles area.
Thea is a house dancer for several Southern California restaurants. She has trained in multiple styles of bellydance and specializes in her own modern style of American Cabaret Bellydance. In 2021, Thea won 1st place in the CSQ Hot Improv Challenge. She is also a proud member of the Turkish Orientale style bellydance troupe, Alev Dansi.
Thea is equally respected in the dance world as a composer and dancer. As a musician, Thea has completed a Master of Music degree. She has published several albums of original music for dance and yoga. Thea won best original song in the Raqs Film Fest in 2022 with her piece, Dreams of Egypt. You can find her music under the artist name, Miss Thea on Bandcamp and on most streaming platforms.
