Beginning in November of 1966, a small town in West Virginia would find itself at the epicenter of a bizarre and mind boggling nightmare. Reports of an inhuman winged monstrosity haunting an abandoned World War II munitions factory just outside town would begin to flood local newspapers. The Creature would eventually be labeled the Mothman by the press, and as the number of sightings grew so too did its legend, But where did it really begin?
Join hosts Laura Kram and Creepy Acres' very own resident Bigfoot, Sam Squatch, as they speak with Steve Ward: researcher, podcaster, and coauthor of "Mothman: High Strangeness". In addition, Steve Ward also works at the Mothman Museum located in Point Pleasant, West Virginia! So sit back and prepare for THIS WEEK IN CREEPY HISTORY... That is IF Sam can't let hit beef with the Mothman go long enough for us to record!
Steve Ward is the co-author of "Mothman: High Strangeness" as well as a contributor to the book "Weird Winged Wonders: The Twilight World of Cryptid Creatures". He is also a the host of "The High Strangeness Factor" and a correspondent on the "Mack Maloney's Military X-files".
