Text Emily!

The phrases "mailing it in" or "phoning it in" have been used interchangeably and were first used to describe someone who didn’t show up to work and instead mailed or phoned it in from afar.

Nowadays a lot of us work virtually or remotely and may not have the need to be physically present, but where it gets sticky is when we get detached, lack care, find ourselves going through the motions, and doing the bare minimum.
Checking boxes without enthusiasm or excitement.

In this episode:

  • What phoning it in is and isn't
  • Where we might be tempted to show up lackluster
  • Why we sometimes mail it in
  • How to bounce back and reinvigorate your approach
  • And more!

Links & Resources Mentioned:
✔️ My Strategy Sessions
✔️ Jenny Belanger's Website Design Made Simple Podcast
Reflection Questions:

  • Have I been mailing it in? If so, in what areas? How has it manifested?
  • How do I feel about my current level of engagement with my business? Am I proud of what I’m putting out there? Am I being authentic in how I’m showing up?
  • When was the last time I felt truly connected to my work? What contributed to that feeling?
  • What’s one area of my business that needs more attention and care?
  • Do I feel like I’m achieving my potential? Feeling fulfilled? If not, what’s next or what can I dream possible for what’s next?
