Creating New Patterns of Blessings for Generations to Come. Listen to Our Podcast Below or Watch on YouTube.

What does it mean to honor your parents as an adult? If you had a positive experience with your parents as a child, honoring your parents will come naturally to you. But what about honoring your parents as an adult when your experience as a child was less than ideal? This is where confusion can come into play – especially if you struggle with codependency.

Codependents have a very strong moral code and we want to do right by God. But if the biblical truth we understand is not all the way accurate? If you grew up walking on eggshells around your parents, breaking that pattern can feel counterintuitive and the enemy will use half truths about the Bible to confuse you and shame you.

Praise be to God for the truth that sets us free. You do not have to bypass honoring your parents to set healthy boundaries. You do not have to pretend or be dishonest to honor your parents.

You CAN create new patterns of blessing for generations to come!

John Whittaker, the creator of the Bible Listener’s Commentary and App, will unpack powerful biblical truth today on this topic. Ready to grow? Let’s go!
