How do you get a 65-year old trucker with two months left before retirement and no desire to change perspectives on his job to look at his job differently? Our guest did. With the secret power we all posses but rarely use well.

This week’s Confident ROi with Alex Vorobieff TEDx speaker, author and consultant Brian Fretwell discusses the power of questions in the business setting.

They delve into why asking questions is so important, particularly with respect to building agency, purpose and a sense of belonging with in an organization.

Brian reveals the background behind his viral TEDx talk through the story of his teaching days, when one of his students saw no future except drug addiction and how a question changed everything.

We also look at how deep and indirect questions can help individuals to re-focus their locus of control from external (blaming and focusing on others) to internal (focusing on improving themselves). And we hear the rest of the story of the 65-year old truck driver with only 2 months left until retirement.
