Under his rule, the Chola Empire expanded to unimaginable proportions. Following his reign, King Rajendra-I became the sovereign of the Chola dynasty in 985 AD. He was a powerful ruler, conquering many territories of the Pallava, Pandya, Chalukya and Chera kings and adding them to his empire. This marked a new chapter in Indian history.
