Pastor Micah continued our Christmas series this week called "With Love!" The overarching theme of this series aims to answer the question, why do we have Christmas? The most simple answer is, LOVE! Out of God's love for us He made a way for us to be reconciled back to Him! He sent His One and only Son Jesus to become the final atoning sacrifice to bridge the gap that sin had created between God and mankind.
This week we focused on how we can give love back to God. We look at the story of the 3 Wise Men and the gifts they brought to the newborn King, Jesus Christ: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. These three gifts represent a financial (gold), religious (frankincense), and a prophetic (myrrh) gifts. Practically speaking we looked at this framework of how we can show God our love in each of these three avenues!
Bottom Line: When we understand what God has given us with love, we should want to give back to Him with love.
