Jessica Barnes is a wife, mother, teacher and founder of Cayla’s Coats. Cayla’s Coats was founded in memory of her daughter, Cayla, who drowned at the age of 20 months on a canal in the waters of Homosassa. Jessica, her husband Sean, and sons Aidan and Brantley, have taken Cayla’s tragic death and are spreading the word about the importance of water safety education and prevention within their community of Citrus County, FL. They have provided coats to children within the local school system, provided education and materials to local elementary school and preschools as well as providing a life jacket loaner station at their community beach.
