Join Chris this week as he dares brave a Viking settlement on the shores of Strangford Lough.
Chris is at Ballydugan Medieval Settlement at Drumcullan Road, Downpatrick and he speaks to Alison McGrenaghan about the exciting Magnus Barelegs Festival to be held on Saturday 27th August and Sunday 28th August. The event takes place at Delamont Country Park, Killyleagh. Find out all about the events taking place - including a Longshore Fleet Shore Invasion, Viking Battles, Archery and Axe Throwing and a boat burning Viking Funeral!! The Viking Market takes place at Delamont on Sunday 28th August.
Chris also takes a walk around the Medieval Settlement and speaks to a number of volunteers. Joanne talks about the bread and butter making area, James is the wood crafter, Daniel demonstrates the blacksmith's forge and Odd gives a tour of the armoury display.
Chris survived the ordeal, and the hands over to the Castlewellan Studio Players who return to the airwaves with the third episode in their production of "Ice Cubes and Lettuce" written by Mark Asante, one of the Players. This week's episode is titled "In the Heat of the Hot Tub!"
