EP 19: Say It LOUD…BLACK HEALTH MATTERS
Manage episode 336288148 series 3211767
Welcome everyone. I’m Sammee Leigh and this is Chasing Sammee, a podcast all about candid conversations with everyday people because we all have a story to tell and sometimes hearing someone else’s story is how we make sense of our own…
“Say It Loud…” originally aired live on June 9th and June 25th, 2020 on Magnet Theater’s Twitch channel. I created this two-part special in response to the continuing racial awakening and civil unrest in America following the tragic murder of George Floyd. Say It LOUD… is a storytelling / roundtable discussion amplifying black voices unapologetically sharing their perspectives because black stories matter. The lived experience of the black community is not just oppression and injustice; there is also beauty and resilience. Both stories matter.
