In recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (yesterday, 15 June) Private Wealth solicitor Tanya Chapman and NSW Ageing and Disability Commissioner Robert Fitzgerald AM discuss Enduring Powers of Attorneys and financial elder abuse.
During the episode, they cover several cases in which an appointed attorney has breached their duties in order to gain a financial benefit, as well as the role of the Ageing and Disability Commission to assist in preventing and addressing elder abuse, and what members of the community can do to protect themselves and older people in the community.
