Our guest in this episode is Celisse Henderson. Through grit, determination, and honing her skills, along with a personality that is infectious and generous, she’s made a career on Broadway, on television, and in music. Her Broadway days saw her in touring productions of the hit musical Wicked, and Godspell and others. She’s done television, appearing on 30 Rock and Electric Company. And in music, she found her passion for guitar later in life, leaving Broadway for the time being, but landing gigs playing with Melissa Etheridge, Joss Stone, Lizzo, Trey Anastasio, Mariah Carey, and many others.

We’ll talk about her influences, like soul singer and guitarist Sister Rosetta Tharpe, her experiences getting to, and being on, Broadway, and her thematic approach to life from a perspective of sharing and giving. It is my pleasure to introduce Celisse.
