In Ezekiel chapters 35-37, we see a prophecy against Edom and Mount Seir, which represents the devil. Edom was descended from Esau, and Seir would be a leader of those people. The judgment against Edom serves as a warning that the measure we use to judge others will be used against us. Chapter 36 focuses on the restoration of Israel, emphasizing the importance of allowing God to defend us instead of defending ourselves. God promises to give His people a new heart and put His Spirit within them. In chapter 37, we see the valley of dry bones prophecy, symbolizing the power of speaking life into dead situations. We are called to prophesy the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in believers. Ultimately, God wants us to know Him as the Creator, Redeemer, and the One who sent Jesus to die for our sins.
The measure we use to judge others will be used against us.
Allow God to defend us instead of defending ourselves.
