We look back on his first operation and the road to racing and smashing out a dream London Marathon, his response to being told he would need to go back into surgery and the central role being active, running and the running community has played throughout his battle with cancer.
In just weeks he has gone from a hospital bed to walking 10 miles a day helped by a focus on what he can do, not what he can’t.
