To seed a successful community you need get insights about the people you are trying to help, and generate word of mouth about the value of bringing folks together on a mission.
That is the job of an evangelist.
But there are no playbooks for business evangelists, so I'm going to share the playbook that has worked for me not, multiple times.
It worked for me early in my career when I needed to start over in Miami after a career in California- landing me in multiple magazines as a Top 20 Under 40 and Latino Leader of the Future.
It worked when I wanted to leave the industry I was in and prove I was more than just a green building guy- landing me a VP of BizDev role in tech.
It worked in the marketing world when I started my own business- going from unknown to keynote speaker in Silicon Valley in just 3 years.
Now I'm going to share with you:
- why gathering insights and repetitions are the key evangelizing the thing you really care about
- how to enter any room and instantly start connecting with people that will be receptive to your message
- what you need to build to scale your evangelization efforts beyond yourself
- and much more!
This is directly correlated with the first level of community building from our 3 foundations needed for community keynote.
Think of this as the framework you can use to build influence with business leaders, politicians, and influencers anywhere you go... because that's exactly what I've done with it multiple times across cities and industry sectors.
