Adsy and Joel have been keen to chat with Annelies from Madocke Beer Brewing Company on the Gold Coast for some time now, and they weren't disappointed! This outstanding Belgian family owned brewery, started from very humble beginnings in the home garage, which brewed small batches of beer and even featured a fully licensed tap room! Nowadays, you'll find them brewing award winning beers in their new full sized taproom at Ashmore on the Gold Coast. They also took out the Champion Small Independent Brewery in Australia at the 2023 Indies! This episode features a tour of the brewery by head brewer Jimmy (who was initially too shy to show us around, hence why we didn't put a microphone on him...only for him to jump in and keenly show us around!), followed by a quick tasting of some outstanding beers with co-founder Annelies, and a very entertaining chat where we learn plenty of new sayings, like putting 'feathers in your bum'...haha!
