Prof. Joyojeet Pal is an Associate Professor at the School of Information at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to this he was a Senior Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research India. His recent work has been on the use of social media in mainstream politics, particularly in India. In the past, he has been a visiting scholar at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology University of Tokyo, and at the Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law at Stanford University.
