Join us this week as we discuss our favorite rides at Dollywood! We start off strong by discussing the WWII trains, Cinderella & Klondike Katie. Both of these steam engines were used in WWII and then purchased for Rebel Railroad in the 1960's. But be careful or you might get covered in soot!
Next, we discuss the themed coaster, Mystery Mine. It tells a pretty fun story but the coaster is lacking a bit and is uncomfortable from what we have heard. There was also an incident where a prop chain fell and cut a lady's head open.
Our next coaster is Lightning Rod in Jukebox Junction. Although the launch up the lift hill is what makes this coaster unique, the launch has officially been removed. But that doesn't take away from the fact that this coaster is in the Smoky Mountains and reaches speeds of 73 mph!
To close out our favorite rides, we discuss Blazing Fury. Similar to Fire in the Hole at Silver Dollar City, this dark ride coaster takes you through a town that is on fire. You come across many interesting characters including a fire fighter trying to convince a girl to jump off a roof to escape the fire. The only problem is that he has a hurt back and is the only person that is holding the safety tramp for her to land on. Does she safely get down??? You'll have to listen to find out!
