In preparation for a huge weekend of wrestling in West Lafayette, Purdue head coach Tony Ersland and his squad look ahead at home duals vs. Illinois and Wisconsin on this week’s Always Aggressive Podcast. Ersland also takes a look back at Saturday’s dual vs. Michigan State and the lessons his team took from the contest.

The sports adage that “every point counts” came into play for the Boilermakers this weekend as their dual with the Spartans was decided by a single match point in tiebreaker criteria. Ersland talks about how this lesson will resonate with his squad going forward and make a difference with the rest of their season.

Purdue has a pair of major promotions associated with this weekend’s duals, hosting its annual “Hammer Down Cancer” event Friday against Illinois and the first-ever “Hoops & Headlocks” doubleheader with Boilermaker men’s basketball on Sunday in Mackey Arena.
