"The children are our future" is a cliche we've grown up with since forever, now as we look at a future that involves and perhaps revolves around Covid with the recent lockdown reminding us that it's ever-present... What do our future leaders think?
We invited Emma Kim (O' Riordan) to organise a group of Manurewa High School students, under the care of Principal Pete Jones to share their views and perspectives. While home schooling now, and dealing with day to day in lockdown, which we'd love to hear about, let's also learn what their thoughts are on the future? Will travel ever resume? Will they see the other side of the world? What questions do they have, what do they wonder about? And what solutions or approaches do they have for solving today's and tomorrow's challenges?
